Choice Single Lot Premium Coffee
You may have seen the term "single origin" in the coffee world and generally this means the coffee beans have been sourced from a single country only. Blends are very common where a roaster wants to combine the flavor profiles of a number of regions. But some coffee drinkers like to maintain their coffee borders, which is totally fine.
On a more granular level, there are "single lot" coffees which have come from one or a handful or geographically close coffee farms. Such coffees are smaller output per harvest and as a result, they command a higher price. Generally the farmers involved receive a higher proportion of that selling price too helping them invest in future growth or special projects in their community like schools or hospitals.
At Stuart's Coffee I call these "CHOICE" coffees and the bags carry a blue ribband. The descriptions of the source are more detailed so you know better what you are paying for. Thank you for supporting them.
